Office Idiocy

My coworker just had his expense report sent back, rejected by accounting because they couldn't figure out what "state" Oslo, Norway was in.

Must be an Accounting thing. I just had an invoice forwarded to me for approval from Accounting with a received stamp of June 20th. They sat on it for 3.5 months. Ahh.. who needs maintenance on our firewall, anyways?

hahahah you gotta be kidding.

he needs to go to the head of accounting and show him. see if that guy can figure it out ha

He's in the process of printing out several maps and travel brochures to attach as an "addendum" right now.

me thinks they should be scheduled for mandatory geographical sensitivity training.

Well, Oslo is the city...
Norway is the country...
What state is it in? 🙂
Does Norway have states/provinces?

that was probably a big expense report, too. 🙂

It was a combo personal/business trip so originally he wasn't even charging per diem. Now he's sent it back with some "revisions" that reflect the extra time he had to take to explain to them where Oslo is.
