I know...and I udnerstand this....however it just seems rather ridiculous that they held something that they dont have....makes sense they would locate the item and physically see it before they say they can hold it..

but i guess they did call....i cant get too upset about this

You would be surprised, what a call might do for you. I know a guy that got 3 different laptops replaced cause he said they were all screwed up. The guy was an idiot and didn't know anyting more than to push the power button.... Might be worth a try

word : when i get shafted out of deals it usually sucks cause i know that punkass i talked to on the phone said he'd hold it.. later on thought about it, decided he wanted it, bought it.. then when i got down there it wasn't there.

That sucks, but you are very lucky they called you.

A few years ago during one of those 10 dollar DVD-rom deals, I had them hold one for me and I got there later (In a huge storm) and they were holding a $400 DVD-Burner....
So after explaining that, they looked and of course they didn't have he 10 dollar one. They had a 15 dollar one, and I figured I would ask if I could have it for the 10 dollars since I had to make the long trip out there, etc etc, and the old man working there just started yelling at me saying if I didn't buy it, someone else would, at full price, they don't need to do anything like that, and all this garbage. HEEEY I just asked nice, relax.
