Now is a good time to buy a PDA like the Sony Clie, Palm Tungsten/Zire, HP/Compaq Ipaq, etc... Office Depot has it for this week $50 off any PDA priced $198 and over. If you brought one last week or month, you can go to the store and get a price match/adjustment. This is even valid of you brought it at Office Max or Staples (return to the store that you brought it from).

Combine this with t OD coupons of $20 on $100 or any other deals that you might find, such as a rebate from Palm, HP, or Sony for even a better deal!

The OD in Falls Church, VA wouldn't price match for a number of reasons that seem to change 3 times in 20 minutes: 1) the PDA has to be ordered by OD so no price matching is possible 2) no copy of CC's price is shown, so no price match 3) price match is possible only if no coupon is used. I called up OD directly and was told that OD does not stack coupons and if I want to have a price matched, I can't use any coupons. This is the first time I've encountered this anywhere. Plus, OD said that since this item has to be ordered, it cannot be be returned. For $16 more, I should have given Staples my business for not BSing so much like OD did.

Actually, the coupon is for $199 and up. Unfortunately, the Tungsten E is priced at $198 so I don't know if they will honor the coupon.

Please leave suggestions on how to make this work for the Tungsten E.

Thanks

The PDA I purchased was HP Ipaq H4155 ($447 something at OD). I applied the $50 off coupon for PDA priced higher than $199, and I applied a $20 coupon. I've never had problem price matching and using stacked coupons at the same time before. My second time to the store to get this thing resolved, I was told that because OD stacked the coupons, OD can't price match. I think each store manager has lots of discretion and power to act.

By the way, Costco has the HP 4155 for $399.00

What PDA did you request? OD's stock on PDAs varies and depending on the PDA, it may have been available at the store or not. I've had NO problems doing this sort of thing at my local one...

Edit: I see the PDA you ordered...still no problems PMing and using coupons at my local OD.

bump again.

Is there anyway to make this work for the Tungsten E PDA?

It is priced at OD at $198 and the $50 Price Break is actually for all PDA's $199 and UP!

Need your input today as it is the last day to make this work.....

I finally got a $20 cash back from OD, as a price match with CC. I had to visit the store 3 times total to get result. So, the end result is that I got $50 off, $20 off, plus a price match with CC that took another $20 off. Total saving off OD's original price of $447 is $90.
