Office 2007 Beta Download

The hell? It wants me to activate it 😕 And it can't even connect to the activation server...

It gave me the product keys on the website and said it would email them, but I never got an email with the product keys. Did anyone get an email. The same thing happened when I did the procedure to get Onenote beta.

I think I'm going to pass on this beta until more positive feedback is available. It seems like this might be as big of a disaster as the Visual Studio beta crap.

Works great, no issues in 24 hours use and activation worked almost instantly.

I thought I would hate the ribbon etc, but I really do like it!

Dled Visio + office +Installed Visio and couldn't activate it I haven't installed office yet cause I don't wanna screw up my outlook 2K3 just yet...

I never received the email for the keys also. But they did give me the keys online.

I downloaded and installed Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.) and Onenote.
So far so good...pretty stable. The only thing is that their activation server is down.

Wow, this is pretty nifty. Installed just the basic professional package, and holy hell is it different. My initial reaction is that I like the huge visual difference, but I like change over the ordinary stuff we've been seeing since Windows 95. Hopefully the layout will prove to be useful.

I agree, though Outlook is more or less the same. It now has the ability to do RSS feeds which is nice, but not the place I'd like to do my RSS.

QFT about Outlook, however the send-a-message screen follows the new stylings, which in reality is the only place you'd really need it in Outlook.

i downloaded the Office beta.

There's a bit of a learning curve to all the new menus and such. I can see the logical progression to this new setup, but it's gonna require a lot of worker re-training.

I've only tried Word and Powerpoint. PPT runs a lot slower, but there are some new features. Word is pretty much the same except for all the new menus.

oh, and Outlook is essentially the same
