Office 2003 Pro

What the message and topic says. Is it legal? I have a user here who has a system in the office with Office 2003 Pro on it. He works from home sometimes. Is it legal to give him a CD & key to load at home?

Edit: Just realized I posted this in OS instead of Software.

<===== Moron 😉 😛

You are allowed to install Office on one desktop, and one laptop with the same license. As long as one is a laptop your friend is good to go.

Yep, he's got a laptop so we're legit. Cool - Thanks! 🙂

Actually, it all depends on the license that is owned for Office. If it's a per-user license, then usually you can install it on a work desktop + a work laptop as long as only one is being used at a time. On the other hand, if it's a per-seat license, that license is married to the machine.

Check with your Microsoft rep and see what your office's licensing model is before you go installing willy-nilly.
