*Offical* Windows 98 Fan Club (Now with a new MESSIAH)

Also, fan club sounds kinda ... wussy. Now that we have a MESSIAH, we need to be a religion, or a cult or somthing. Any name suggestions?

i was very relectuant to change for Win98 to XP. but once i made the switch and used it i actually enjoy XP.

though 98se was very nice. just not having to reformat every few months is good.

ugh...i prefer windows 2000 over windows 98. god i was so geeky when it first came out, i remember sticking those ads saying "windows 2000 professional is 38% more faster than windows 98" advertisements in Time magazine all over my locker...

but still, anything for the best gaming OS...by far. screw XP!

Sorry man, but Windows 98 was pretty flaky. I still think that Windows 2000 was the best OS that Microsoft ever wrote, and everything after that was too bloated and dumbed down for me.

I've noticed something wierd with Link19(not that he can be any wierder), everytime I post in one of his threads while he is log on..he logs off straight away, he's too scared to back up his moronic babbling

I built a frankenputer earlier this year just to install Win98SE and play older games like Jagged Alliance 2.

Win98SE was a decent OS for its time. Its main failing was weak process isolation and resource management so memory leaks, buffer overruns and other bugs in applications (not the OS itself) would destabilze the OS more and more until the next reboot.

It also ran well on a Pentium 133 MHz with 32 MB of RAM and a 1.6 GB, 4200 RPM hard drive like my old Micron PC.
