Yea, its fairly polished and its pretty much a 2D version of Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden which is a great thing. I'll keep an eye out for this game when it hits XBLA.

Yeah...this game is awesome. Probably the best downloadable game on XBL right now other than rez. Cant wait for it to come out.

Kotaku does a walk-through of the XNA Community Games.

edit: You need to do a download to enable the community games

Link

Content: XNA Creators Club Game Launcher
Price: Free
Availability: Not available in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan
Dash Text: [ESRB: RP (Rating Pending)] *Xbox 360 HDD Required* Download the XNA Creators Club Game Launcher in order to play the special preview selection of game demos created by the community using XNA Game Studio. When your download is complete, go to the Games Library, select My Games, and navigate to the XNA Creators Club category along the top. From there, press Y to view, download, and play the available trial games for this limited period.

Note: You will need this launcher to access the free community games which are now available

I hate to say it, but the games I've tried so far - Little Gamers, Rocketball and Proximity have been god awful.

Remember, most of these are games that were made in a month or so by one or two people for that XNA challenge. So, they probably aren't the best and most polished games around. That said, I tried Jelly Racer and it is a pretty cute/fun game.

Going to try Samurai Dishwasher next.

Molyneux on the state of PC gaming!

Warcraft, The Sims "sucking the air out of PC market," says Lionhead boss

Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has said that the PC gaming market is in a tragic state, with two blockbusters hogging sales and stagnation in the casual market.

Speaking in an interview to our sister site Eurogamer.net, to be published later this week, Molyneux was sharing his views on the current PC market following comments made by Epic's Cliff Bleszinski that it is in ?disarray?.

"I think it's a huge tragedy. I mean, you might as well say PC gaming is World of Warcraft and The Sims... The weird thing is everyone's got a PC, they're just not buying software for it," commented Molyneux.
And while many developers are chasing the casual PC gaming market as the next big thing, Molyneux believes it's already suffering from repetition and a lack of imagination.

"There's an enormous amount of gaming happening with PopCap, Big Fish and Reflective.

"The fascinating thing is when they first started, all these games came out like Peggle and Mystery Files and Alice Greensleeves and Diner Dash, and it felt quite exciting. There was a lot of innovation going on. Okay, there weren't great graphics, but there was innovation.

"In my view, that has completely stopped. They're doing the same game over and over again with a different wrapper. It's like a mini-universe in itself which is emulating what's happening in our industry," he added.

"The second thing is, you've got The Sims and World of Warcraft sucking all the air out of the PC market. It's just incredible," he said.

The full interview with Peter Molyneux will be published on Eurogamer.net later this week.

Xbox Live must still hate me. I haven't really messed with it since the down time a couple of months ago and you all had me intrigued with the XNA content. I'm just sitting here staring at a loading circle... that goes on forever.

On the other hand, I was able to successfully download Rez HD. I heard it was an awesome game so I'm going to give it a shot.

Fable 2 to is set for this year.

Peter knows the date just isn't allowed to say. Maybe Microsoft is saving it for E3 annoucement once some other ps3 title gets a date.

I'm thinking maybe MS wants to steal some hype from MSG4? Maybe FF 13 though I"m not sure if it'll even make it out this year. I'm doubt they want to go up against GT5. It isn't expected till the very end of the year. I'm fresh out of exclusive ps3 titles, MS would want to steal some thunder from.
