If they bring in Pedro, I will be really pissed. Firstly, you need him for game 1 of World Series. Second, why do you take out a pitcher that has been unhittable. Third, the curse will continue, every time the Sox have a chance to do something special they make a horrific managerial move. DO NOT PUT PEDRO IN, they need to save his arm for the World Series, especially with Shilling hurting bad. St Louis and the Astros can hit, they are going to need their starting rotation at full speed to have any chance at winning the World Series. Or even worse the Yanks can mount a comeback, the fans will be all over Pedro if he takes the mound in the 7th.

Yup. Schilling, Pedro lead off at home. I think Lowe's earned the 3rd start, with Wakefield 4th.

Joe Buck made a good point, Steinbrenner goes out and spends 15 Million dollars on Brown, another 10 million on Javier Vazquez this season. All that is worth 8 runs against them on the biggest stage. Quality investment.

Joe Buck is also a biased asshole.

I don't mind him 🙂.

We'll see you next year.

Looking forward to it, BoSox have to take care of the NL team first. 🙂

btw, I watched near 150 reg season games, needless to say I was a bit "invested" in the outcome.

yay, i won $7 on tonites game. too bad i didn't take the sox straight up. i thought it would be a close game, and took the 1.5 run spread. doh!

Doesn't matter. Until they lose game #4, the season is still on, and I'm watching.

Let's go Sox - for better or for worse.

Phew. Turned out to be for better. What a comeback. I'm in shock.

A radio soundbyte made an interesting point.

If Houston wins tomorrow, it'll draw paralels to the Presidential Race rivalry....Kerry (Massachusetts) and Bush (Texas).

hey Red Pickle, how is he biased? If anything, I thought he was incredible cynical on behalf of the Red Sox, he kept bringing up how this is deja vu how the yanks are never out of it. bringing up the dollar figures are simply putting the facts out there. are teh numbers wrong? I don't think so.

awesome game! it really was an incredible come back, coming back from a 3-0 loss, and then winning by 7 points!

i'm rooting for the sox in the world series! good luck SOX!! 😀

This was so much like the 1985 KC Royals comeback, and I give a great big congrats to the Red Sox and fans! 🙂 I just had that feeling it would be like KC in game 7 of the World Series in 85, a pure blowout, and it sure enough came to be. They were down 3 games to one and came back to win it all, which was a first back then. They did the exact same thing in the Playoffs. So dont ever count your team out till the fat lady sings! 🙂

Go Sox!

Oooh boy, this thread will need to be moved to P&N in that case! 😀

Wow I move to Boston and both the Red Sox and the Patriots win. Anybody in Chicago want to put me up for a year?😉

I am considering renting you out a place in Pittsburgh. Time for the Steelers to get that one for the thumb. 😉

If I were Yankee fan I would be pissed. And if I was Steinbrenner I wouldn't fire anybody but himself.

But thankfully I am a Met fan, hah. So you would know how much Met fans love the Yankees. (sarcasm).

I hope the Red Sox win. They are a little over due.
