Holy crap... Mel Allen must be rolling over in his grave.

Yes, we knew he was perfect through 5 then 6. Did you have to keep saying it every g*d d*mn pitch?

Thanks for jinxing Mussina.

So, it looks like curt's ankle didn't hold up... I was curious about this earlier (and I did post a question about it). Obviously, with Schilling less than 100%, the sox rotation doesn't seem as scary.

Tomorrow is a big game. I think if the Yanks get to Pedro and go up 2-0, this series may be over.

I finally turned the sound down and put on the radio. That ten-second difference between the two was annoying, but not as annoying as the TV commentary.

I didn't mind the announcers except for the one guy who I couldn't place. Who is that? Wait, that's Al Leiter! Don't put away your cleats yet, you stink in the booth!

I thought Leiter was suprisingly good. He actually had something to say and I thought he said it well. Certainly much better that Bret Boone!

The Sox really cannot catch a break. They finally get the guy to help them beat NY, and wham! out goes his ankle. Not to mention that Moose pitched the game of his life and the Yankees BARELY won. You can't help but wonder how the Sox would have trounced the Yankees if Schilling was 100%. That being said, Pedro better be on his game tonight for the Sox to have a chance.

It figures right? I was very impressed with William's comments after the game. He joined my "Yankees I don't hate" list, which is pretty small. 🙂 Pedro's still our best pitcher, let's see if he can play like it.

Go Sox! (Waiting for Trot to hit like he did last postseason as well...)

Totally agree... always seems like Boston's #1 starter is never 100% come playoff time. Btw how did NY score, I just got in. 🙂

Pedro looks good ..but the Sox can't buy a damn hit. Jeez.. they look lifeless. Are they gonna wait till the 7th inning again?

K thanks Perry. Wow Pedro looks sick tonight... just blew away Sheffield on a 95mph heater! One swing of the bat will tie it for Boston... I think they actually want Flash Gordon or Quantrill to come in, they sure ain't hittin.
Edit: Sit down Matsui!

Heh, I've been watching the debate since nothing seems to be happening in this game. But after I saw this thread get bumped up, I knew someone scored.

I dont think Pedro has his best game tonight, keep missing his locations... Plus he must be getting tired from the high pitch count...

Pedro has pitched fine... he gave up 3 vs Anaheim and they hailed him as the greatest pitcher not named Schilling... sht 3 vs NY is a solid outing. Boston just hasn't been hitting
