I'd just like to remind everyone on this forum that it is the bottom of the 3rd inning in the 2nd game. In other words, don't get too excited ;)

Yankees are playing pretty good though, unfortunately for the Sox. If the Yankees extend their lead they should be able to make Mussina out pretty soon and save his strengtht/stamina.

This game is probably over but don't count the Red Sox bats out. The Red Sox could easily turn this game around in a half inning. Wouldn't suprise me, but I guess that's just my wishful thinking :p

Schilling should have told Tito that he was injured, and couldn't throw a fastball above 90 nor push off the mound. That way they could have moved him back in the rotation... he had to have known while warming up.

Yup, he should have been pushed back to Game 3 or 4 and had Pedro/Arroyo pitch these first two games if he was hurt. He had to try and be the "man"...

I think they wanted to keep him in Game 1 so that they would have him for game 5 and then game 7 if necessary.

Doubtful he would go Game 5 and 7 with his ankle... Pedro should have started this game, and Arroyo tomorrow (Arroyo has a much better ERA on the road vs Fenway too). It was Schill's job to inform Francona he was hurt, and he hurt the team because of it.
