Go Canucks GO!!! 😀😀😀

In the interest of the Sabres, I hope the Canucks lose all the rest of their games this season so that 2nd rounder is as good as possible. 😉

How about a compromise? Canucks win just enough to squeeze into the playoffs, at which point they start dominating, meeting Buffalo for the Stanley Cup? 😀

Canucks got Noronen for a 2nd rounder...what a freakin joke..

I'm sure Montreal would have to have given up more for Buffalo to trade within the division.

Hmm.. I was expecting Calgary to pick up a Center by the deadline today. I pray to God that Kipper stays healthy or we're screwed. We should of never traded Craig Conroy to LA because he and Iginla had awesome chemistry, and Ignla has made it known that he really misses him at Center.

Canucks get Eric Weinrich from St. Louis, and Detroit getting Cory Cross from Pitt for a 2007 4th round pick.

Holy Crap.......... our defense is pretty good....... which mean that Sami Salo is probably out for a while.

It's never a bad idea to have a deep defense for the playoffs.

Eric "the yellow visor" Weinrich was schooled multiple times by one Alexander the Great during their only matchup... I had a hard time believing he was a vet d-man. 😀

Here's a couple vids of your new defenseman (#6 in white) in action...

You're welcome. 😀

who doesn't he school? lidstrom?

Im surprised , flames were extremily quiet. Aquiring Jundmark from phoenix for weimer. Flames needed some serious offense boost... this is a small step. Seeing vancouver and oilers beef up their lines really scares me as a flames fan. What in the hell is sutter planning. too late anyways.

lol i already posted in the NHL thread...

but GO OILERS!

- upgraded goaltending tandem - NO MORE MUSICAL GOALIES PLEASE MacT  ...
- picked up a forward... SAMSONOV :Q wow biggest move on trade day. nice pickup!

I see that the Sens grabbed Mike Morrison off waivers too... I hope he has a good career, and Conklin too for that matter. I am really embarassed about that fiasco the other night with the goaltending switcheroo. Can't imagine what that does to a guy's confidence when you yank him out like that.

Bring on the Sharks and Toofless Joe! 😛

Philadelphia Flyers acquire forward Nikos Dimitrakos from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a third round draft pick.

I feel ripped off on that one. I like Niko. 🙁
I liked Niko too, but with the addition of Ville, you knew someone had to go.

argh, i'm a ducks fan since i live basically 5 mins away from the arena, but wtf was burke thinking. they were making a pretty good push towards the playoffs before the break, i dont see how trading the veterans are going to make us better or get in the playoffs... ugh.

The pundits suggest that Burke isn't worried about this year, but is building for the future. He did an excellent job in Vancouver, so you might want to wait for next season to see how things shake out.

That said, I hope the Canucks beat down the Ducks and every other team here on in for eternity!! 😛 😀 😉

Go Canucks Go!

OMG Samsonov, yes! 😀

I think Edmonton's chances of missing the playoffs got a lot less likely 😀

Heck, we might just be able to make a decent run if we make it post-season 🙂

We're comin'... ya better be ready. 😉

I sure hope we bring it 😛

Well... you brought it well enough for a point. 😉 At least it gives you a little more room to distance yourself from Edmonton (who is about to get beat by the Sharks), and only 3 points away from Calgary.

Unfortunately for us, Detroit also won tonight. :frown:

I think the Hurricanes getting Mark Recchi was a very brilliant move for the Hurricanes. With Erik Cole being gone for the rest of the season, Recchi should work out well (and he is quite pleased to jump from the sinking Penguins).

The only other move that I really liked was the Jose Theodore trade for David Aebischer trade.

Bruins organization just dealt intself into mediocrity for a long time to come....Sammy wanted to stay.

I'm in disbelief at where this once proud franchise is now...and I don't see it changing with the current ownership/management.

*sigh*

At least the poorer teams like Washington and Pitt have some exciting guys to make games worth watching... :
