Yeah, my friend and I are not fans of the Lacuna Coil song that is already present in the game, so I can't imagine I'll be adding these other two!
BTW, how's the new 20-song pack? I haven't had time to dl it yet. Anything good? (not specifically directed at Kev)

Question if someone could help me out here:
I paid the $5 and transfered all my RB1 songs to my 360 HD so when I got RB2 I wouldnt need the disc. Well, I havent gotten RB2 yet and honestly I dont think i will for another few months. I was thinking of deleting all the RB1 songs off my HD so I can have free space to install a game when the NXE comes out.
I was wondering if anyone knows, since I already paid, if I delete all my RB1 songs, can I re-transfer them to my HD again at a later date if I delete them now?

i'm not 100% sure either, but it would make sense that once you've purchased the license you can re-download them all you want....

*Casts Raise Dead on the thread*
So I like listening to Muse sometimes and they've got some interesting "rifts" (as you young hipsters call them) in their songs. Now through some very clever research (going to Wikipedia and using CTRL+F), I found that both RB2 and GHWT have Muse songs... although the Rock Band one was a DLC released for the original (which of course is usable in both). So I bought the Rock Band 2 set and the Guitar Hero World Tour game, because I heard the drums from GHWT had issues with RB2.
I tried the Rock Band guitar with Muse's Hysteria and well... I was just terribad. After being a bit frustrated about three-star'ing a song, I went and decided to go unlock Muse's Assassin in GHWT. I switched to my GH3 guitar and had absolutely no problem playing. I went back to Rock Band 2 later at night and did so much better with the GH3 guitar... anyone else completely unable to conform to the RB guitar?
Oh and I believe I remember hearing that RB has an internal music store (a front end to the XBL/PSN store essentially)... is this any better than browing XBL for songs? I was poking around last night, but when looking down and seeing "Page 3 of 31" I gave up even looking any further... the setup works for a game with a couple fucking picture packs, but Rock Band simply has too many DLC options for XBL! Knowing how PSN's setup is, I doubt it's any better there.
Oh and as a status report, I still haven't unlocked Assassin... looking at Wikipedia, it seems to be in Time Square, which I assume is near the end?I think I've cleared about six sets/gigs so far.

I prefer the RB guitar over the GH one. I like the flat buttons and longer neck. I haven't used the GHWT one, though. Generally it's just a matter of personal preference. But I will say I played a ton of GH before Rock Band came out and was very used to the GH guitar, but eventually the RB guitar grew on me and now it's all I use. Do you play on easy/medium? I think the GH guitar is better for those, because you get a solid feel for each fret since they stick out and are separated by a space. But the RB one is better once you have a solid feel for the notes and need to quickly switch your hand placement. The RB one also feels more like a "real" guitar - every time I use the GH one I feel like I'm playing a ukulele.

The Rock Band in-game store is much better than using the PSN/Live browser, mainly because it lets you preview the songs and view difficulties - it also organizes everything better. The only downside that I've found is that you can't queue up downloads there like you can through Live (I assume PSN as well) - you need to wait for every download to finish before you can pick a new one. It also used to constantly repeat the same preview clip over and over while downloading - which got annoying. But they since fixed that with RB2.

Oh sorry, great master of music for I have sinned!
Do you want me to edit your post for grammar next time? 'cause I'm pretty sure I see some mistakes in it already.

I figured since you were going out of your way to use the term, you'd want to get it right. Sorry for offending your delicate sensibilities and I'll PM you first to ask permission next time to ensure the least amount of detriment to your pathetic excuse of an existence.

I personally prefer the RB guitar because I hate the clacking sound that the GH guitars make. But, lately I have been using the Madcatz Fender Bass replica. Mostly for bass lines and the split strum and because it is closer to the size of a real guitar, but it does clack a little of extremely fast notes in guitar mode. But overall its a pretty nice guitar. I also like the flat fret buttons on RB guitars because I like to slide on songs that utilize the orange button. I am musch more accurate when I slide so the flatness is great for me. The GH guitars are bubble buttons and are further apart so sliding doenst work so well.
Although, I do play the instrument weird and usually do naughty things such a slide my hand down to handle certain sections (I don't like using my pinky that much... I don't even use it for typing).

Sliding your hand down isn't a bad thing! That's how a lot of people play. I know I slide my hand up and down the guitar all the time... I'd never be able to play on hard, let alone expert if I didn't. Sometimes you just have to use the pinky, but much of the time you'll be far better off in terms of speed and accuracy by sliding your hand to use "stronger" fingers. Especially if it's a spot with quick back and forth fingering such as a trill or something like that.
You should work on using your pinky too, but being able to slide your hand is an important skill for playing hard and expert songs.

Yeah, I guess being that I play real guitar and real bass and really sliding on real guitars has made me pretty good playing with fake guitars in expert modes. The flat RB fret is great for that. I do find the clakity clack of the GH guitars help me with the timing of the songs but as a guitarist I usually get into the sound and basically ignore the counting of colors and just go with the flow so to speak.
