man in the year that ive been here ive read a lot of dumb things, of the cuff, i would have to say


some guy asked how he could bump his post in his own thread after it had fallen down.

oh yeah...i agree. errr i mean....my posts are pretty dumb most of the time too. how about my rant about RDRAM. hehe....😀
 
I don't remember the exact words, but it went something like:

I was installing a fan on my athlon processor and it cracked. when I turned the computer on flames shot out of the system, so I left it on and went and got a bucket of water and threw it on the computer. Then black smoke came out and the whole system died. The motherboard has char marks all over it and I'm going to see if I can RMA the processor and tell them it was defective.

LOL! I would kill to find the link to that old thread.

the OMG i set my athlon on fire was just plain stupid....wasnt he trying to OC the sucker while it was still plugged in?

about every week or 2 in the tech support and cpu forums you will get a post about someone's cpu running around 75C idle... every time it ends up being that they forgot to remove the protective plastic on the HSF's thermal pad before installing it.
 
I think the stupidest thing I've seen here was the question "Is Denmark a country?". I don't remember who posted that, or when it was up.
