I remember when my dad did that. He said that more was going out than coming in. So the lesson that I came away with at that point, was that getting a job is useless.
So I became a slacker, to this day.
Maybe you'll feel better after my story:
Good jobs are almost impossible to get now, right?
Last week, Number 1 Son (22 years) got an interview for a $75,000/year union job with great benifits; some overtime would put him over $100,000/year! (this is alot of money in this area)
They liked him, he took the written millwright test and passed
The two day "hands on" test was next. He passed the first half.
On the way out, plant security stopped him, searched his truck and found an opened pint between the seats.
No alcohol allowed on company property.
Only a priest, his mother and maybe his father might believe that a friend left it there unbeknownst to him.
This Army National Guard soldier was in tears when I got home so I couldn't strangle him.
What can you do but move on and try to not think about it? (which as you see I am not good at)
