A local buyer trying to make profit off a fried e machine computer
Ok, i met a local buyer that wanted to sell a computer for freakin a good deal.
what i knew was that he was a smart techie 14 year old "KID".
what i didnt realized i was being scammed in buying a fried out emachine.
fried meaning from what i found out
a dead psu
and a dead mother board
it was a socket 478 emachine packing a 2.7 ghz celeron.
i gmailed the kid saying hey,
why are you selling it,
he replied, oh i'm just selling this computer for a friend,
i asked him, does it work
and he replied, i took out the ram and the hard drive so you have to bring the ram.
i said ok,
original price was $90.00 for
e machine computer and whats in it
emachine atx case
power supply
celeron 2.7 ghz cpu with hsf
motherboard
40gb hard drive
and thats that
Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the kid was trying to be shady with the testing meaning,
he had no effort with the testing, lol, he was a smart tech support kid that can build and fix computers, why didnt he test it out for me,
i said oh well,
i hope it works,
so i came over and brought the wrong type of ram
rdram
that sucks
it runs ddr
so i borrowed his ram and he said " yeah, the ram is untested"
lol because it came straight out from this fried out machine.
so i stuck the ram in and booted it up,
doesnt work
figured that it was a power supply
swapped the power supply and booted it up
light is on the motherboard
but no boot
so
i figured
motherboard is fried
i said,
lmao
omg, i was about to waste my money on a mega friend computer,
lol
the psu was dead
and the motherboard was dead
but heres what i negotiated with this cheapskate
meaning what i got working since the past few days of testing
intel celeron 2.7ghz cpu with hsf
a dying 40gb hdd with bad sectors, works but will die in the next 3 months, *junk*
256 mb ddr 333 ram
cd rw optical drive
nice e machines micro atx case
windows xp home COA sticker,
for $65.00 cash.
i hope it was a good deal, but since the hdd is going to die, it was an ok deal,
but the kid,
lol
omg, he was a techie support kid crazed on making cash from other people, lol
tried to sell me junk for a bad deal, he builds computers and refurbishes computers, why didnt he take the effort on actually fixing his "FRIENDS" computer, lol, instead of selling it to me.
possibly he wants to build his "friend" a new computer for MORE MONEY.
lol
i could have fixed it for his friend for $50.00 free of labor charge,
he buys the motherboard, and the psu and i just verbally blah blah blah install it for him.
i bet hes gonna be spending $350.00 including labor charges and installation of windows xp for a 1 ghz computer with a failing hard drive.
lol
i got the good deal over all when i think about it.
the xp home coa sticker rocks on the case
