Show me the vid of a neighborhood watch dude getting attacked and we'll talk.

LOL so the only way anyone can defend themselves is if they are on video or its murder?

lol

JUST as in the GZ case this was a good shot. IF someone is slamming your head into the ground you have a justifiable fear for your life.

Hmm... seems this off-duty cop still had his uniform on. Based on the video he was clearly trying to calmly arrest the man. Upon further review I will not blame him for starting the situation. I fully back his action to defend himself.

He was working a paid detail. That almost always involves being logged in with dispatch, your radio being on, all that jazz. He heard the call and left the hotel to respond. All of that is completely normal.

Put another way--if there was a cop watching a grocery store, wouldn't you want them to come outside and help you if needed? Same thing.

right outside or 3 blocks down? not to get involved into further details of the arguement but if i paid someone to guard my property staying around the premises is fine. taking off a mile away would be concerning unless there was a terrorist attack or major emergency. this sounds like neither

Good shoot. No question...good shoot.

Anybody that disagrees is a fucking idiot. Video evidence shows good shoot. Also notice the video is cut off to influence the viewer.

Good shoot.

No, not at all.

Just saying that if all the witnesses are dead, you'll probably have a good chance of having an contradicted story.

I am very against the seeming escalation in police violence lately. But I don't see any way the cop was in the wrong on this one.

If you are being arrested and you pen the cop to the ground, you have to know there is a very high likelihood you are going to get killed.

Holy crap how many threads do we need on this? A lot of uninformed comments in here. Many of the questions you ask are answered in the articles covering this story that happened in kansas city a long time ago.

Also, if anyone is curious, there is a picture of the officers face at the ER, I believe he suffered several facial fractures. Just google his name.

Edit: OK I watched that video for the last time. I can't stand ignorant drunk people and that includes the oblivious people filming.
