I usually like the threads that come out of someone asking a question that involves opinion, ideally with a short bit of personal background. Usually I dislike the ATOT-is-my-blog posts.

I like personal antecdotes the most I think. I like to write my antecdotes as well, I dug up one about a cat litter box from last year yesterday that actually had me laughing. I'd forgotten how annoying that was.

I also enjoy writing parodies...but I think I've scraped the bottom of the mod warning barrel on those.

I think like sports threads the most but I just enjoy any nice thread. Maybe a serious topic being discussed not too seriously? Tough question though. Threads with even the most mundane beginnings can get interesting sometimes.

I like to write random stuff, whatever bizarre thought I'm having, in case anybody else can connect with it. I also like to let off steam about being ridiculously poor and in debt and hating my ex.

I don't understand why people post personal stories here. Do we really care if there is a death in the family or if you lost a pet? This is a tech forum and OT should be mostly for sports, cars or girl threads. Why people need to get sympathy from complete strangers, I just don't get it.
