Ok, this is tormenting me beyond belief, i need to know, is there any way of getting the games from any other system to play on my computer. I mean i don't wanna go buy a playstation just cause theres a few games i wanna play on it and then never use it again, pleeeeaaasseeee help, thanks.

That's correct, Bleem is a Playstation emulator available for the PC. There are other, less known psx emulators out there (just do a search for "psx emulator" in Google), which probably don't have the feature set that Bleem has.

As for other systems, I know Sega will be releasing a Dreamcast card so that you can play Dreamcast games on your PC. However, that release is a little ways off.

I've tried bleem and it's really cool IF the game you want to play runs on it. Dead Or Alive does but Soul Blade had major problems (no sound, graphical glitches and it ran three times faster than normal!). Um Jammer Lammy doesn't go at all.🙁 Their web site has a compatibility list.

On the up side, it's astounding how good PSX games can look when run in D3D AND at 1024x768 or above. PSX rez is 320x240, so 1024 rez is actually TEN TIMES THE RESOLUTION. Sweet!

BUT...

Bleem is $30 plus you need a gamepad which will run about $20-$30, so you're in for at least $50 with no guarantee that the game will work right. PSXs are ~$100, but will run EVERY game.

It's up to you.

I prefer ePSXe and even Connectix VGS by a wide margin over bleem. ePSXe is free and with the right plugins/settings can look every bit as good as bleem. VGS has great compatibility, just no special features (texture filtering, enhanced resolution, etc.). I played through and finished Chrono Cross with VGS and I'm working on Final Fantasy IX with ePSXe right now.

Archon370,

Yes, SNES emulators allow you to play Super Nintendo games on your computer. In order to play the games, you have to have access to the SNES ROMs, which can be downloaded from just about any emulation site. One of my personal favorites is Free Roms. They have both SNES emulators and SNES ROMs. You should check it out.

ROMs are not warez. In order to download them, it is assumed that you own the actual cartridge, otherwise you must delete the file from your system within 24 hours (same as mp3's).

ROMs are basically Warez. They are stolen software. You might have the right to have a copy of the ROM on your HD if you actually own the cartridge, similar to your right to have a backup of your game/software CD.

otherwise you must delete the file from your system within 24 hour
That's a rumour AFAIK. You may not have a copy of a ROM file you do not own on your system for any span of time.

Nevertheless, if you own the original cartridge, you can play SNES games on your PC using an emulator.
