I just got back from a computer show. I bought a Toshiba 16x dvd drive. It came with an OEM copy of WinDVD 2000. After I took it out of the bag I found that this OEM WinDVD 2000 software is just burned onto a cd-r disk with a little label with the serial number. I highly doubt this is legit. Anyone know anything about OEM copies of WinDVD and what they look like.

Now I'm not some person totally against warez, but if your gonna do it you shouldn't charge. I was hoping to sell the OEM copy of WinDVD on ebay for a few bucks since I already have a copy. It looks like I can't do it now.

By the way the company I bought from at the the show was A2Z Computers. Link

Thats ok... I kind of already knew it wasn't legit. It just pisses me off that I kinda payed for it since it came bundled with the drive.

How much did u pay for the drive?

Anyway when I got my Sony 140E, it came with a 'burned' copy of Adaptec EZCD4.0. But I got the drive real cheap, and it saves me from 'downloading' it :) and I dont care.

But if u did pay a premium for it, DO bring it back.
