Well, that doesn't look too bulky. Better looking than those brick Anker's.

I wonder if my otterbox case would be able to fit it. If it does I would pick it up.

Don't count on it. Give it some time though as they may make a case to fit this battery after its been out long enough.

So mine arrived the other day but I haven't had time to use it until today.

Its considerably thicker than the original battery so theres no way any cases made for the original will fit. Its not particularly thick though and the back is more curved at the edges so it feels really nice in your hand.

I actually prefer the feel of it than the original but I'm one of the few people that complain about phones being too thick.

The back cover is made of the same material as the original and has the same tight fit. NFC seems to work fine as well.

I cant give you a report on how long it lasts yet as I'll have to run it for a few days but its a "made by Samsung in Korea" battery so the quality should be the same as the original. I'm expecting a little under a third extra run time (original was 2100mAh, this is 3000 mAh).

If it blows up in my pocket I'll let you know.

Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. I'm still wondering why the hell this isn't listed on Samsung's own website...

Hmmm... I'm torn. It's enough battery to make a noticeable difference from stock and it's much sleeker than the huge extended batteries that look like tumors. But I also really like my Ballistic case.

Samsung needs to put this battery as the standard battery for their Galaxy S4

They need to put a 3000mAh battery in as standard but maybe not this one.

Don't get me wrong, I love it but it makes the phone considerably thicker, and I think that that would put a lot of people off.

I think if they designed the phone around a 3000mAh battery they could shave a couple of mm off.

I don't understand why all extended batteries have to be muge monstrosities. Galaxy Nexus got it right with the minor size and battery bump option. Would have been fantastic on the S3 as I felt it was a hair too thin. It's best to offer both options IMHO.

I was going to order the extended battery next week. Any last minute updates or general impression before I bite the bullet? I'm not impressed with the latest gen phones. The HTC One looks sweetbut iI'm disappointed that they strayed so far from the standard android design.

No problems at all with mine. It gives about the extra life I'd expect.

No downside apart from the slightly fatter phone.

If Samsung gets this to market faster for the S4, that could be really nice. They might get to something like double the One battery at about the same thickness/weight...

Yeah, they are awful at getting after market stuff out.

Extended battery for the S2 took ages, extended battery for the S3 took longer, wireless charging for the S3 still hasn't turned up...

They need to get this stuff ready to go for release. It's not rocket science.

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy 3 running the stop Samsung/Verizon stuff not rooted or rom'd... I work in a basement where I have spotty signal... goes from absolutely nothing to 1-2 bars of 3g, never 4g and never a full set of bars.
It easily drains 10% battery per hour just sitting on my desk without me touching it. If I put in in "airplane" mode while at work it only drains 1-2% sitting on the same desk.

I may have to get one of those 3000mah batteries... I dont mind if being a little bit thicker.

Just chipping in - 1% per hour is not unreasonable as long as you don't have a ton of wakelocks. I can take my phone (GSII) off the charger before bed, sleep 8 hours, and have 97% battery when I get up. The best I've had out of my phone is ~5 days, with sync and wifi on. The phone was basically unused for 5 days (I lost it lol) and had a decent signal.

The only things that sync on my phone are my weather widget (2 hours during the day, never at night), and gmail + gvoice. Everything else is set to manual sync. I don't use any task killers or memory managers, but I do use a custom kernel that has deeper sleep modes than the stock one.

I've gone through 4 extended batteries and they were all crap except the Anker 4400 mAh, but I took the plunge and ordered a ZeroLemon 7000 mAh for $25. WELL work the money. The case is perfect also, and due to the way the battery is shaped, it's pure gold. Now I can get 2 days of HEAVY full use out of it, or 3 days of light use. Win. :)

It also comes with a 180 day warranty, and 30 day return policy from Amazon, and also comes with NFC.

I finally put an order today in for the extended battery from MobileFun but am wondering about their legitimacy as a retailer. Are these guys legit or scammers? Their resellerrating is pretty poor. I probably should have done more research BEFORE i placed the order but meh. I hope it comes in soon.

In case anyone ever living gave a crap, I'll put in my opinion once I get to using it.
