OEM E6400 for $260 or Retail E6400 for $290

...or just order now from www.spacecentersystems.com where I got mine (shipped Monday and delivered this afternoon). I got a better deal, picked it up for $262 delivered, but this is still a fairly reasonable price compared to newegg and certain other vendors.

Edit: althought they don't state it explicitly on the site, this is a full retail boxed processor.

Whats the difference between retail and oem besides the fact that retails includes a box and a heatsink/fan? Don't they have the same warranties?

OEM is the just the processor, no packaging, no heat sink and usually a 90 day warranty
Retail is the whole deal. 3 year warranty, stylish packaging and a (generally pretty bad) heatsink/fan

theoretically one voids the 3-year retail warranty by using an aftermarket heatsink or overclocking at all
