OEM ATI Radeon 8500 -> Retail via BIOS Flash?

Is it true that flashing the BIOS on an OEM ATI Radeon 8500 will give it the same clock speeds as the retail version?

Yes, but only if your card will successfully accept the retail bios. Many will not because most OEM's have a lower voltage supplied to the ram chips, and crash durring the flashing process because they can't handle the 275mem clock. You can also overclock the card by using an overclocking utility such as this one
