That is nice. I almost bit on the fry's combo deal a few days ago, but decided to wait since my Opty still serves me well. The question I had on the 6000+ X2 was the ram speed. I kept reading how the 6000 X2 would run DDR800 at DDR750 due to the odd CPU mutiplier and how it determines ram speed. Surely you could just clock the ram up a bit? Moot point for me, but I'm still curious.

Asked this in another thread on the 6000 but the thread died before it was answered...

Anyone know if this will go into a Dell E521 or can it not handle it?

Its a shame AMD abandoned S939. I would have loved to give my money to AMD for an upgrade the CPU and give my PC a little longer life, but I will have to wait for a full upgrade in which I am leaning heavily towards Intel.

yeah 939 was weird with 754 kinda released at the same time... i just upgraded to 939 about a year ago and i dont plan to go with amd even at these prices considering a e4300 for about $100 overclocked a bit will out perform everything amd has.

Just be aware that Intel's Core 2 Duos are plagued with Bugs and Vulnerabilities... I haven't seen any problems with my XP laptop yet, but there have been a lot of reports of more hardware-sensitive Operating Systems.
