My sentiments exactly. Grow up, and try not to be a theif.

How am I being a thief? I placed an order for a 20 pack. I did not get it - I received one card. On the CC dispute form there is an option saying that you only received part of a purchase. I checked that box, sent in a copy of a screenshot and the amount was credited. If I was a thief, the CC company would have denied the dispute. If I receive one card again, I will do the same. When you've been doing these "hot deals" for as long as I have you learn how to make the system work for you.

You mean you know how to steal from companies in small enough amounts that it isn't worth their trouble to fight you, AKA "the small grift."

He is right. He did not receive what he ordered. Granted it was a pricemistake but its not always a price mistakes. On occasion they blow stuff out. They advertised the cards as a 20 pack and when they realized the mistake they chose to ship the cards out rather than cancel the order and admit the mistake. The fraud is on their part not ours. They knew we expected 20 cards but would rather make the sell and count on people forgetting to return the card.

Amex offers that recourse through them as a benefit of owning the card.

Hey, let's just cut to the chase. Why don't we go ahead and sue them now. Why wait. This is the second time those dirty scoundrals did this. We can sue Amazon for hosting the store and the mom & pop shop that is really selling them. We could probably get their retirement fund. Yeah, that's the ticket. Who else can we sue. Do we have any attorneys here at AT? Come on, let's go get 'em. What are you waiting for?

the NERVE of companies demanding that you actually pay what products are worth!

This axis of evil must be crushed.

i also like the guy who disputed the charge to his CC because, hey, how was HE supposed to know it was a pricemistake? He really needed those 20 cards! He's the little guy! HELP!

When you take advantage of a price mistake, you have to recognize that you're engaging in -- well, let's call it a "nontraditional business transaction." Things go wrong frequently. If you don't want to deal with the headaches, or can't afford the class-action fees, then avoid items that you know are mispriced.

jackals.

I just received my UPS shipping confirmation for the 20 pk. of modems . . . shipping weight of 20 lbs.!!!! Looks like I did get in on the deal.

That's not really a problem . . . my shipping confirmation confirms that my CC was charged $22.99 plus shipping, and I have "pending charges" of around $30 or so on my CC. 😀

Hey bottom line. If amazon made the mistake, they should have just cancelled all orders. They're the idiots that decided to ship out 1 modem instead of what was promised on their website. Moral or not, amazon is in the wrong here

Stop the madness!?!

This does seem to be happening a lot more at Amazon lately. It's almost becoming a biz practice. You think there's a tech over there laughing gleefully into his Ramen noodles every time he pulls this off? They really gotta stop shipping the cards on a price mistake.

Given the number of customers they deal with on a daily basis -- and the number of products they sell -- I doubt they're losing much sleep over this.

Maybe with 20 of these shotgunned together on 20 separate phone lines you might be able to surf the internet on your PC normally without the typical dialup server timeouts = sweet!
