LOL.

Yea Fallout is the only RPG I've actually willingly played. I can't stand most other RPGs. Stalker, and Fallout are pretty much the only ones for me.

I'm excited that they are at least keeping the series going. I guess the hope here this time is that the game isn't so small/short like Fallout 3 was. During the time I tried Oblivion... that was enormous and expansive... though I couldn't stand playing it for more than a few hours - my brother has hundreds of hours logged in it and still says he hasn't completed everything.

Looks like J.E. Sawyer is the lead on Fallout Vegas. A fellow named Scot Everts, who worked for Interplay years ago, is also working on it.

You're missing out on good games. Fallout 3 is a weak sauce RPG that is watered down for the masses. I really wish they would have kept it a more true RPG.

if you two can't find a good time in vegas just put the gun in your mouth now and end it

Try living here for five years and get back to me.

But you could buy a lot of real estate there right now.

So I guess Bethesda is the publisher?

Yeah I'm happy it's Obsidian developing this and not the Bethesda team because I am really hoping that the 'unannounced projects' Bethesda are working on consists of TES:V !

Yeah, then it would have sold hundreds of copies!

Tom Clancy is making Fallout games?

That's the first thing I thought of as well.

Hopefully they'll make the story a bit better than Fallout 3. And the gameplay better than Rainbow Six

TES:V FTW!

I hope they take it online, I mean even if the game is solo, I wish they would at least have a stats page/trophy case online similar to BF2.

The ability to go look at my "trophy case" stat page online outside of the game in BF2, just added an extra dimension that had been missing from round based shooters for me.

I would like to at the very least see something similar from TES:V

I am not a very egotistical person, but I feel I took more pride in the way I played BF2, then say CS or UT because I knew it would reflect on my stats page.

I just reread my post, Yes I understand that TES is not a fps like BF2, UT, or CS, but the only thing in my mind missing in the Oblivion experience for me was the ability to share any of it with others. I could post a screen cap of my char with level displayed, but that just isn't the same.

I wish I there was an Oblivion MMORPG, and please don't say WoW... not interested.

I'm glad that they're not (that I know of) making an Oblivion MMO. It would be nice if they'd master the single player and QA aspects first. I actually was reading some material over at NMA (might have been a mistake) and now I'm more annoyed at Bethesda than ever, which is probably the goal of the whole site haha.

I'm surprised by how many people disliked the fundamental gameplay behind Fallout 3. I thought the hybrid RPG/FPS worked pretty well personally, and if it wasn't your cup of tea then you still had VATS.

OE has told some pretty great stories, and my primary complaint with Fallout 3 was the mind numbingly bad main story arc, so I'm optimistic about this.

Yea the story and crappy side quests is what really killed it for me more than anything.

I still have my hopes someday someone will make another 2D Fallout :D

Nothing gets better than Fallout 2. No Fallout sequel or next-gen version will ever beat it.

Fallout 3 doesnt have the snappy punch lines and taunts from enemies i came to love so much :)

Yeah I'd have to agree . . . they need to refocus on gameplay rather than nifty water effects and over-hyped physics engines. Since Daggerfall the series has been losing ground on the depth of gameplay.

I'm betting Vegas is going to be an 3rd person, party based RPG rather than a 1st person FPS/RPG hybrid.
