Well the amp and everything works.

I'm also going to be upgrading my web hosting so that I'll be able to add my other domain and have 1.2TB of transfer per month. That should take care of transferring the larger files.

If my transfers start skyrocketing, I may password protect the folder that the videos will be under and give it out to people who actually post here, vs. some random person stumbling across it.

I have some hosting that I'm not using yet... I'll try to lookup the info for it. If I'm able to find the login info, maybe I could mirror the tutorials.

I've got plenty of space - like 120GB. The transfer should be plenty, but you know how things spread on the internet - people googling for photoshop tutorials may come across it and I might get a lot more people downloading than I want :p

But it would take 2400 people downloading 500MB off my site to max it out. Probably not going to happen.

New Tutorial:

Finally! I've begun working on the new tutorial for Portrait Retouching and hope to have it completed by the end of the week. Here is what I will be going over, just off the top of my head:

- Layers
- Blemish Removal
- Skin Softening
- Eye / Teeth Enhancement
- Digifill - Digital Fill Flash
- Basic Hair Retouch
- Vignetting
- Digital Makeup

There might be some other things too but not sure.

Also I'm planning to do a quick overview of Lightroom in a future tutorial.

Oh and production values will be much better! Haha this just means I'm getting way too into this and broke out my video editing software.

Good stuff! I was just thinking of asking if anyone knew of an online tutorial for these things. I'm looking forward to it! :)

It helps that I'm doing a presentation on this at a local camera club next month too :p

Wow...I'm almost done with this monster tutorial session. I'll have to finish it up later this week.

Already I'm almost at 1 HOUR of video. Hows that? :p

I'll probably end up with another 20 minutes or so. I'm going to do the B&W conversion again in this one and combine everything together. Making the video size larger (1024x768) so it's easier to see what's going on.

Going to be quite the download. Hopefully it will compress decently.

Let me know when it's ready and I'll help make sure your hosting service can handle the load. ;)

Hey, I tried downloading the B&W tutorial from two different computers on two different internet connections and each time I try to open it says the file is corrupt... is anyone else running into this?

Can the file be reposted?

I just downloaded it and it works.

I believe you need the XviD codec to play it.

The zip file itself is what won't open.... I get the following error

---------------------------
WinZip
---------------------------
Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.

If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.

I'm getting the same error on several different computers (different operating systems) in two different physical locations.

Dunno....worked just dandy for me.

I'm using WinZip too. But I don't remember if I used WinZip to zip it or just the windows built in stuff.

But I've extracted it both ways and it's worked for me

I can certainly delete it and reupload it later, but I'm still at work.

Strange.

Are you guys all on Vista?

I got the error once I was home on Vista, but at work on XP it worked fine.

Just tried by d/ling from the FTP and same error.

I'm going to boot up my XP box and see what happens.

I downloaded separate copies on XP Pro (with WinZip), Win2K (with WinZip), and Server 2003 (no WinZip) after I saw Krioni's message and got archive errors on all three when I tried to open the zipped file.

Odd...my XP machine won't open it here.

I could at work though.

I don't have the original right now - I think it's on a PATA drive sitting on my desk and I have nothing to hook that up with at the moment.

Your proxy at work probably had an older, uncorrupted version cached.

As a note, I've tried on 3 XP machines and 1 Vista machine.

And thanks for your help trying to remedy this.

I wonder if someone out here in AT land has a copy that they could email to you or post somewhere so that you don't have to fool with hooking up the old PATA drive?

I don't see how it would be cached - it still takes a while to download and it should be faster if it was on our proxy.

I'm just going to download it here and if it works, throw it on a flash drive. I don't think I can upload from here via the hosts web interface - file is too large I think.

But the same info will be in the new tutorial as well.

Thank you for your help. I know you don't have to be trying to help with this, but I do appreciate it.

If the info will be in the new tutorial, I can wait for it then. No biggie.

Again, thank you for your help and for putting your time into doing the tutorials in the first place. That is very kind of you.

I'm finished!

But now I have to render the video and such. I don't know how long that will take. I want to preview it too...which will take a while. Should be up sometime this weekend I would think.
