IMHO, Biden should step down, invoke 25th and let America get used to the idea of President Harris. I know that’s contrary to what political pundits believe—that he should focus on finishing his term and allow her to focus 100% on the campaign. But I think people need to see her on the job to get behind her. Just my 2 cents.

My wife said, the Democrats did the right thing again, not like the Republicans. They said the guy at the top is a problem and they stood up and told him that he needs to step aside. Something the Republicans did not do.

It seems like he wants to let the party decide without influence. With him not endorsing Harris in his statement. It looks like they want some kind of “open” process.

EDIT: Ok he just endorsed Harris

Some of y'all are a bunch of defeatists. Kamala will do a 100X better job campaigning than Biden can at this point. Something happened over the last 6 months, he's not the same person he was at the SOTU. Biden did an outstanding job as President, glad he's stepping aside though.

Okay here’s hoping the bedwetters congress critters don’t put up their name for nomination and leave Harris unchallenged

What a selfless move by Joe. He should be commended for having the courage to do this. Looks like it will be Kamala.

The dynamics of the race remain unchanged. Do you want a lifelong conman surround by christian fascists, or do you not.

Yep. I just mentioned to my wife that the last sitting president, eligible to be re- elected but chose not to run was LBJ…not long before it was announced that he had terminal cancer.
I think one of many reasons LBJ turned down running again was because with so many conspiracy theories surrounding the JFK assignation he did not want the finger pointed at him with some saying it cleared the way for him to be president. Plus the country was in cultural tumult and Vietnam was turning into a mess.

It was time for Nixon.
