We got to see the POTUS without a prepared speech. A very rare occasion.
One week ago, Democrats got to see Biden even worse.

The conversation became personal when Biden mentioned Crow's Bronze Star and attempted to bring up his son Beau, the member said. Two sources described Biden's exchange with the former Army Ranger as "incoherent" and "unintelligible."​

One member suggested to ABC News that members on the call were left "aghast" after this particular exchange -- with members shaking their heads, some with their hands on their faces in apparent shock.​

"Tell me who enlarged NATO, tell me who did the Pacific basin! Tell me who did something that you've never done with your Bronze Star like my son --- and I'm proud of your leadership, but guess what, what's happening, we've got Korea and Japan working together, I put AUKUS together, anyway!" he said.​

There isn't much I like about Joe Biden as President other than the fact that politics is the art of the possible and he's a master politician and then there's the fact that he is infinitely preferable to Trump.

But it is this art of the possible that I find so unfortunate. The purpose of the Republican party is to keep those that are doing well based on how society has been structured to advantage them in the past by striving to insure the old rules get preserved in the future to maintain that advantage. There are a number of techniques conservatives use to accomplish this. They foster a sense of American Exceptionalism which leads to entitlement and they belittle the other, those less advantaged who strive for equality of opportunity by attempting to change the injustice in the rules of the system. The purpose of that belittlement of one sector of the population is to create a sense of superiority in another, namely poor white people, two dysfunctional to profit from the game, from turning on those who have. The conservative aim is to make them feel threatened that their poverty and misery is because those others are and have eaten their cake.

So, when you see the game that conservatives are playing, the psychological warfare the 1% practice against the rest of us, you can see that when it comes to the art of the possible they have pretty much closed the door on much of anything.

For this reason Kamala Harris could not help but fail at the border because conservatives need to use those vermin crossing as a means to stay in power. They do not want immigration fixed because they use the threat of millions or rats invading our pantries as a scare tactic.

The people who can't see this obvious fact are those who feel so inferior themselves they need someone else to blame for feeling that way.

Noting really really revolutionary and positive for the greater good of the nation is possible because millions of sleeping robots are standing around counting the raindrops that fall, absorbed in self misery. She only failed because you failed to see. But remember, you didn't program yourself. It was done to you and you had to buy into the lie to survive. Everything has to be exactly as it is. Here and there some people awaken. Good luck.

There are a LOT of low information voters out there, across the political spectrum. And in most countries, not just ours.
The GOP is pretty much a full on cult now; aside from a sliver of never Trumpers and some staunch conservatives who know that he's a charlatan, but still prefer his tax policies anyway. Everyone else has shamelessly bent the knee.

Ok if you sidestep a democratic process and Biden steps down.. what happens to the one with the second most delegates?

That's some Dean guy right? Do we screw him in the democratic process too??

Easiest way would be to have a super primary.. entire country votes and picks their nominee!

Clyburn's support on TV this morning is pretty tepid. When you're falling back on "the process" not exactly a full throated endorsement of the presumptive nominee.

The same would win of Hillary, would win of Kerry, would win of Gore, would win of Hart, Mondale?

That's the one thing I don't like about the America.. always a half hearted feel good measure.. like fishing in a catch and release stream.

Trump has changed the dynamics and the dems are still in nostalgia!

Kamala is toast! She doesn't have a prayer for Trump. We need someone a lot better if not Biden. Someone who can actually take the mud Trump swings a lot better than Kamala.
