Odds of Biden stepping down

I don't think they were ok with it the first time. They tried most everything, short of assassination, to keep him out of the way and minimize the damage while he was in office.

There were plans in place to damage Russia and China and to further western hegemony towards a world under single governance. Those plans had to be put on hold while he was in office. Can't afford to upset that apple cart any more.

I don't think they care about who holds elected offices or which party claims control so long as everyone is playing by their rules. Can't have any wildcards like a JFK or a Trump.
Ok Alex

I think there are a bunch of never trump Republicans that are comfortable voting for biden but not Harris though. How many? We would all love to know
This. This is the calculus Democrats need to determine as much as possible. It is the number one statistic that everyone should be exploring in every state remotely capable of being a swing state.

This is definitely an issue, which is why the VP pick matters so much. it won't bring all of them onboard but I suspect it would mollify a large number. I think Kamala would more than make up for it by energizing and motivating a lot of other demographics of voters.

If you think that Biden is a major drag on base turnout then what the never Trumps or Indies think is really beside the point because you've already lost.

What other demographic?

The Squishy skate boarding meth addicts who spill their insides on Indian cabbies?

Imagine a true independent swing voter tuning into the RNC to see what they're about this year and seeing a bunch of people in the audience wearing diapers on their ears.

That may be true, but even they can see that Biden is gone. Upstairs.
The time of him getting their votes was four years ago.

What did they try, specifically?

What were those plans, broadly?

JFK was a wild card? He just seemed like a C-tier president who happened to be young and charismatic. What did he do or want to do that was so wild? Same with Trump, really. He didn't do much of anything in office other than steal from the treasury and get bribed by foreign governments.

Trump's main problem was that he's a huge criminal, not that he was some policy radical.
I've already told you I'm a crazy conspiracy theorist. It's best to just leave it at that and pay no attention to my ramblings.

I'm past 60 years old and there's no way I could post enough messages to explain the lifetime of questions that brought me to where I am. Even if I could, I wouldn't do that to you. It's much easier to just pick a side, accept what you're told and don't ask questions, especially when your gut says "this doesn't make sense".

The dude is old and always had a stuttering problem. He's been mixing up names since he was a Senator. Age is making it worse and he's fucking tired. The aging effects memes for Presidents go back decades showing the toll the office takes on people. Look at a picture of Obama 2008 vs 2016 or whatever president you want, every one of them that took the oath seriously look like they aged a few decades in 4 or 8 years. Biden was old before he started. The idea he has full blown dementia is hyperbole.

I did not lay claim to a diagnosis, those are your words.
And with the entire Democrat leadership shoving Biden out the door, who the fuck do you think you're still arguing with now?
Furthermore, you must be in complete denial by ignoring Biden's call with some 50 House Dems. It was worse than the debate. It was obvious to them that Biden could not form a coherent thought.

You said gone. Don't get hung up on the dementia term. You think he is gone. I say he is tired and battered.

What on earth are you talking about? Clinton easily won in 2016 and the only way things will change now is if Biden voluntarily stands aside.
It's on par with the dumbassery he spews on a daily basis:

"national divorce!"
"outtrump Trump!"
"my neighbors in Howard Beach are typical NY voters!"

She's auditioning. I hope this goes well. She best brace for the storm and there better not be any significant skeletons in her closet.
One of the big benefits for Harris is that she is already the VP. If skeletons were going to fall out, you would think they would have been uncovered by now.

Even as VP digging for dirt on her wasn't going to pay dividends. Now shit is getting real. State actors have deep pockets. We will see how it goes.
