What a fucking selfish, egotistical jackass to hold a party, and by extension, the country, hostage like this. Everytime I think this nightmare is over, this now lunatic man and his crew keep extending the horror show we are in.

Literally the worst presidential candidate in my lifetime - Joe Fucking Biden.

The primary thing I see on Threads, which is a haven for Democrats/progressives, that there is this core group of conspiracy theory driven lunatics who have some of these things amplified by popular accounts, that this entire thing is a media stunt driven narrative and most importantly, it's just the billionaire donors that want Biden gone, the vast majority of Dems really want Biden. If you post contrary polls that show Biden's lack of popularity in his own party before he ran and now, they often block you. And this is polite posting of polls too. It's all an elite driven fake narrative to them.

Then it's they are insistent we had a totally open primary where anybody could have challenged Biden, but they simply chose not too. It was a fair and square competitive primary. No matter how you put it they don't care. I literally voted for Biden in the primary because I was there to vote for downballot races that mattered. And so were a lot of people. We didn't really want Biden, but we were supporting our party against Trump.

They also continue to say it was one bad debate performance. That's it, other than that, people are overreacting. How can we abandon this guy after just one simply bad performance?

These people are very similar to MAGA when it relates to cultism over one person, in the sense they are totally denying reality, everything contrary to their view of Biden is a conspiracy theory, they just block if the evidence doesn't agree with them. It goes to show you, give people an echo chamber and they will go nutso.

In regards to what most of these people want for the country - it is good stuff, not the evil of MAGA. But on this level, on this topic, they are eerily close.

Polls and campaign money donations mean shit as 2016 showed us. Hillary led by tons in both! Guess who won?

But that was due to people voting for Trump even though they supposedly don't like him but they hated Hillary more. Are you willing to do the same for Biden?

It seems to me that all this agonizing over ‘Biden, not Biden’ is hopelessly absurd because we cannot actually know the degree to which Biden’s aging have truly affected his competence. We are grasping at straws and hanging on every word the so called political pundits and associates or people in closer contact with him report about him.

Ultimately there is a truth to whether he is fit or unfit and he himself, I believe, will make come to an honest appraisal of that in the end.

There is another truth too, in my opinion, that all the Democrats agonizing over their own assessment of that will be the real straw that broke the camel’s back.

Regardless of what happens I will be voting Democrat and I suspect other Democrats will be doing the same.

The Democrats can't make Biden become sane and reasonable.

He has to be willing to make a speech stepping aside and passing the torch to Kamala. We can't make a demented old man do the right thing.

If his crazy ass wants to take this to the convention, it's going to be a shit show.

But as you see he does have his cultists. They are the minority but they are fucking loud and crazy. His inner circle is very small and they are even crazier.
