Lately in games, etc. I've been noticing a lot more 'stuttering' as things seem to access my harddrive more and more. I recently upgraded drivers, but going back didn't seem to help. I also recently had a PSU die and have been working on finding a good one, its on order now from newegg and I'm using a temporary 350watt Antec SmartBlue. All week I've been trying different windows settings, defragmenting my harddrive, running scandisk... giving it the yearly overhaul. However, I still notice these harddrive accesses. I'm wondering what could possibly be causing them. Also, something odd I noticed in 3dmark...

Slot 2/6 (PCI)
NVIDIA GeForce 6800
Order 2
Designation PCI1
Type PCI
Characteristics 5.0V, PME Signal
Data Bus Width 32 b
Details In Use, Long
Device Class Display Adapter
Manufacturer NVIDIA
Driver Version 6.6.9.3
Driver Date 10-29-2004
IRQ 19

Slot 6/6 (AGP)
Order 0
Designation AGP
Type AGP
Characteristics 5.0V
Data Bus Width 32 b
Details Available, Long
IRQ 0

Why is my AGP videocard showing up under a PCI heading? I don't remember this happening before...
Also... off topic, but if someone can reccomend PSU brands that are reasonably priced(antec seem a bit overpriced) that'd be great too. :)

My current system:
Athlon XP Barton 2500 OC'd to 3200+
Epox 8RDA+
BFG 6800OC
Maxtor 120GB drive 7200RPM 8Meg cache
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
1GB PC3200 Coarsair ram running dual channel.
Antec Smartblue 350watt PSU

I dont know about your video problem, but some some good PSU manufacturers are:

-Fortron
-Antec
-OCZ

I personally have a fortron Blue Storm 500w PSU and i like it. Dual 12v rails (combined at 30a), quiet, and fully sleaved cables sold it for me. I got it for $79 on newegg i think (possibly $69, cant remember).

I've heard only great things about the OCZ 520w Powerstream though.
