Oddest looking Case...

You know what? I like it because it's not too gaudy. It's simple and consistent looking unlike some of Thermaltake's other offerings. Go for it.

Yeah, that's one of those "wind tunnel" cases. The basic design has some flaws and there is lots of wasted space in there. Aerocool, Enermax and Silverstone have cases that are based on the same design and look considerably better. I like the basic design of the Silverstone Berserker better and it costs a heck of a lot less.

i prefer the industrial type look of the Antec 1080....that case looks prety dumb IMO. i like interior case lights (espically with colored fluid in a watercooling system), but thats about as far as i would go. rather spend the money on better components/cooling

This is the equivalent of what Gibson Guitars did to Paul Reed Smith Guitars. Gibson sued Paul Reed Smith for making a guitar that supposedly looked like a Les Paul. However, there are many other guitar manufacturers who make single cutaway guitars that look like Les Pauls, yet Gibson didn't complain about or sue them. The design is so common, it would be the equivalent of a car company sueing another car company because that company's cars had wheels. Enermax makes a case that has a windtunnel, yet no one complains of them copying Silverstone, yet when Thermlatake makes a similar case, it's "Ohhh How bad Thermlatake is to do such a thing". Come on.

Actually they are all the same chassis with different cosmetics for the various companies. Interesting to find out who did the original design work. I'm thinking it was none of the above mentioned companies - probably Casetek but I haven't seen the big stylized "C" that is usually prominent in their designs.

Basically if thermaltake copies the design you know its "good". So you just go out and find the original, in this case the silverstone TJ 06 and buy that instead since you know that it will be built at higher quality than the thermaltake version.

it looks nice but i find the front cover to be redundant. I don't know what the purpose of those circles on the front are. it looks like a really big cd player too. I'll give it style points but i'll take away points for having useless stuff on it. Cases should be stylish but also have practical application. this has 1/2 of those requirements.

Not useful if you have more than four disc's that you acces. I have several cd packs for all the discs that I have. Out of all of them, there are not any four that I go to more often than the others. More likely 10-20 of them get used fairly regular. So, having four on the case like that would be pretty useless. Especially since I'd still need to go to the pack for the other discs.

Personally, I'd rather get a case that's build better than one with such a cheesy gimmick on it.
