1st my specs
athlon 1ghz, 512 ddr2100 ram, ecs k7s5a, radeon 9000 pro 128mb agp

A few weeks ago I added the radeon 9000 pro 128 to my system, and Im curretnly running 2 monitors off of it. Was working fine, but then started noticing odd visual display during startup, as in the text during bios loading was screwy, there were white streaks, etc. This continues into the windows startup and then in windows I get light blue streaking and light blue pixels showing up all over the place. An odd thing is that if Restart a couple of times I can often get a boot where there is no video problem, and it runs fine until I reboot. Also, 3d seems to be fine, I can run jedi knight 2 without any problems.

So Im wondering what the problem might be, Im thinking maybe power supply, mobo, or the vid card itself.

I would appreciate any ideas anyone has,
thanks in advance

have you tried a single monitor startup using both monitors at different times? My guess is that either something has gone wrong with the dual display or your bios (don't know why but weird things happen) got tweaked and now you need to go back and un-tweak it.

Also a bad thing happened to me with usb devices. When they were all plugged in, my mom's computer would have streaks when booting up then would stall and lock up. Unplug all your usb devices, if you have any, and see if that works. I may sound crazy, but i swear that is what happened to me about a week ago and now her computer works fine.

Sorry can't help more.

All the usb uses power. Maybe unplugging them left more power for the video card. Try an antec or enermax power supply.

You either have a card that's not seated right, weak system power supply, or plainly a bad card. Check in that order.
