Here's a bit of setup. My work is a bit of a melting pot. I work in a manufactoring facility that has pretty much every level of jobs. Everyone from a engineer with a masters degree all the way to high school dropouts that work the factory floor. So there can be some odd conversations and a bit of culture clash sometimes.
Anyway, my wife is working here as a intern now. She is majoring in buisness management, and is a manager trainee that handles job assignments, payroll and such. She spends a lot of time on the floor talking to different people while work is slow
. So basiclly this group was just standing around talking about this and that and the subject of abortion came up. Some were for it and some agains (obviously) but one girl made a strange statement. She just had a child about 2 years ago. She made the statement "If I could have afforded it, I would have gotten an abortion"
This seemed really strange and creepy to me. How can you look at your 2 year old child and think that? If I was a woman and had thoughts of a abortion I would NEVER mention it after the child was born. Do you guys think it is as creepy as I do?
