odd speeding ticket? Is any of this right?

Fight your ticket. You can even be lazy and request a trial by written declaration. And if you lose your trial by written declaration, you can have a 2nd trial in front of a judge. The 2nd trial would be at least 6 months down the road, and your odds greatly increase that the cop doesn't remember his facts or just doesn't even bother.

I dont think you get more points per MPH...unless you are doing like outrageous speeds... when I first started driving I was driving on a road that I thought was 65mph..doing 78mph *stupid me* and it was a 55mph road. I got like a $98 or $102 ticket..I forget..I didnt fight it cuz I knew I was going that fast and he was willing to show me the radar....all this was going on and my friend in the passenger seat was laughing at me. :p
