WinXP, trying to run GTA3 vice city. It ran before, no problems. I installed a new 9600 Pro (from GF3) and upgraded to DX9.0b. All other programs run fine, except this one. When I run it, it starts the exe and then immediately dies. It won't run.
Now, here's the kicker: I can run the game from the administrator account or my wife's account. Mine is the ONLY account that it won't run from, and I have admin priveledges. I uninstalled and reinstalled only to have the same thing happen.
Has anyone experienced an oddity like this and know a way around it besides a format? I would REALLY appreciate any ideas on this one, I've run out.
