What an ungrateful bitch.

You helped her get every last penny of her money back after she blew it on something that she decided she had no intrest in.

Keep the $1500. Give her the money she paid for it, plus the tax/title if any, and tell her that you don't get rewarded for letting someone else do all the work.

I think legally, you would only be entitled to the equivlent of what you put in to it, but she's ungrateful enough that I'd say keep it.

In my opinion, she deserves no more than $2000.

She paid for it, but you worked on it and you have to consider depreciation.

It's in your name, you fixed it up, you sold it, the extra money is yours.

Do whatever you feel is right.

Although, why you told her you made $1500 on the bike is beyond me...

Give her every last penny she put into it.

Did she help you pay the insurance? Did she help you fix it? Did she help you gas it up? Did she do anything besides ride it for a while and then decide she didn't like it anymore? I didn't think so. That profit, by any reasonable definition, is yours.

Before you keep the money though, make sure that you don't want to remain friends with any mutual female buddies you have. That XX alliance is way stronger than anything you might have with her friends. If you want to stay friends with any of them, try to explain it to them first. If they auto-side with your ex... that's that then, isn't it?

In the end, she shouldn't make any money on this lark. That's not how the real world works.

Exactly what I was thinking... this is fair for both of you.

It's titled to you ? I say keep 100 % of the proceeds from the sale, let the biatch keep the payment book !

people need to be taught not to be stupid and giving a casual piece of arze title to your house or vehicle is about as stupid as it gets !

Subtract all of your expenses from the profit. Then think about splitting the remainder if you feel nice.

You deduct the money that you paid - the insurance, the repairs. want ad costs, etc.
Give her the rest.
Never see her again.

I hope you realize how selfish and greedy her position is. It's not what people in a relationship would say. You have learned what kind of person she really is. Be glad you got off easy, and find someone else.

Split any profit after you are reimbursed for any expenses. That way neither party is out anything and you are compensated a bit for your time to install those parts.
