well i probably didnt hold pace for the whole time...

heh, I've done that before. Course, my training pace is more along the lines of a 7 minute mile, but.... I love long runs. I start to feel really in tune after about an hour, and I could probably keep going for another 2 hours if I've had a good meal before. Best run I ever had was a 15-miler that went up a steep hill after about 10 miles, into a golf course, and then around the course.

Hey nick, wanna run a marathon with me? :)

Go get a bike with an odometer on it and retrace your steps and see how far you actually went...

Actually, trainers once in a while tell you to stop timing your cardio or counting your reps and just push as hard as you can. Often when keeping track of time, distance or reps your mind will make you quit long before your body will.

The only time I will run is if there's a BIG pissed off guy behind me or a Small hot naked lady in FRONT of me! ;)

I blame it on the Marines. I got enough running to last me a life time!

It's amazing to think that people can run 7 miles with a 5:40 pace. But the most amazing part is that these people probably won't even become professional runners. Well not good ones at least. Pro's can run 26 mile marathon, with just over a 5 minute per mile average. Now thats fast

i have mile repeats this afternoon...those should be interesting;)

5 mile temp warm-up
4 mile repeats @ 4:50 with 1 min rest
1 mile cool down

:(:(......

thats the crappy thing about spring break, you have to run on your own. its so much harder not having anyone to train with.
