Marianne, the Network Administrator of the Imagenie Company, is in charge of delegating responsibilities to the IS team. She recently got a call from a user complaining about losing access to the network printer. She delegates this to Tim, who promptly starts working on the task.
Upon discussing the issue with the user, Tim finds out that the error happened after printing from the browser. Before the error, she had regular access. Also, she is the only individual who is having difficulty printing. With this newfound information, which of the following should be done first?
1 Reinstall the browser because it is probably an application error.
2 Reboot the computer, as browsers or other applications often crash while creating the print file.
3 Log off and then log back on the computer, as browsers often crash while creating the print file.
4 Get an updated printer driver from the printer manufacturer.
The correct answer is supposedly #2. I use Win2K on a daily basis and don't think I have ever had it crash because of printing.
