odd problem

so i was paying COH and all of a sudden my screen locks up, but it came back after like a minute. then it happened again, and it still came back. then all of a sudden the game completely locks up so i have to alt-f4 out of the game and apparently my video drivers get messed up. my fan speed goes from 80%-10%. and whenever i scroll down it acts like no video drivers are installed. when i restart my pc everything is fine again. it has happened to me before but only once and with a different set of drivers. right now im using the newest omega drivers.

what fan goes from 80 to 10%? the cpu fan or the video card's fan?? what do you mean your video card drivers get messed up? do you mean you have to reinstall them since they no longer appear installed according to windows? are you positive the problem is not related to overclocking x2 4400 from 2.2GHz to 2.5? try setting it back to the default, and if you overclocked the video card, set that back to the stock speeds as well to help narrow it down. if these lock ups are occuring when everything is at stock speed, does it lock up only in this one game, or other things as well, such as prime95, other games? etc. have you tried out the amd patch for dual core systems?
