Odd problem

Ok everything was fine untill I changed my cooler. I bought a Gigabyte 3D cooler pro to replace a Volcano 7+. Anyway I replace the cooler temps stay about the same. Which aint not biggie since I mainly bought the Gigabyte for looks.

Well problem is now that I've changed coolers anytime I run something thats gonna stress my system after a few mins my monitor goes blank(light on it goes yellow) and my HDD led, power led, burner and CD-Rom led stays solid. The computer won't reset I have to hold the power button in for a few secs to get it to power down. But it posts fine though after I power down.

What could be causing this? Didnt do it till I changed heatsinks. I did mess with the BIOS settings some when I changed heatsinks but didnt raise anything.

System is:
1800+@2.3ghz@1.725vcore@200FSB
Epox 8RDA+
2x256mb OCZ PC3200 1x512mb OCZ 3200
Radeon 9800np
2 optical drives
Maxtor 80gb 7200
3 Panaflo L1A case fans

Powered by a Antec Smart Blue 350watt PSU.

Try reducing your multiplier by 0.5 or 1.0 to drop the CPU speed, as an experiment. If it becomes stable, then it sounds like it's a case of the CPU getting a bit too hot. I know you said the temps seemed to be the same, but this still might be the answer. Good luck! 😕

I'll try it. Somethings fishy with this Gigabyte. No matter what fan speed I use the temps seem to stay the same. I even tried reseating the heatsink and applying ASII with no luck.
