I am stumped on this one and really need some expert help. While trying to diagnose my dead pc, I put my Antec SLI power supply into her pc. It worked. So I put her power supply back in her pc but now her pc won't start with it unless I use my good Antec one.

I need my Antec for when I put my gaming pc back together. So thinking I killed her power supply I test it on my messed up pc and it makes everything spin. Hmm, odd. It's like her power supply doesn't want to work in her machine anymore. Needed mine back, I just got a Cooler Master 500w ATX 2.0 from Newegg, put it in her pc, but it does the same thing... no start. What could possibly be going on that it only wants to start with my Antec?

Oh, and when I do press the power button, a blue cathode inside lights up for a brief second before going off.

Please help before I go nuts!!!!!!

They aren't exactly the same, but the new coolermaster and the antec are very similar. Only off by 50 watts (antec is 550, coolermaster is 500), both are atx 2, both 20+4 pin, antec is rated 38amp on 12v, cooler listed as 32. Both are overkill for her basic system: Socket 939 MSI motherboard, AMD 3000, 1gb pc3200, 1 dvd rom, 3 ide hard drives. I'm not an expert by a long shot, but I would think they are close enough to be similar. Can't for the life of me figure out why the new one or the cheap generic her pc used before would not work.
