Hell yes, I already have had 6 of my fingernails yanked from working on vehicles, why not get paid for it.
 
Yes. It's not like it's gone forever. Plus fingernails have outgrown their usefulness, like appendixes. Not like I have to do any real work, sitting at a computer all day.
 
My wife accidently closed a door on my 4 year old daughter's finger on her 3rd birthday. It was enough that the portion of the nail that is connected under your skin (it's called the "foot" of the nail) tore off and punctured out through the skin (invision a compound bone fracture that pokes through the skin). The doc at the emergency room had to give her two doses of medication to calm her down and make her woozy enough for the surgery, but she still screamed in pain when he had to push the end of the nail back through the skin and stitch it up. I got to watch the whole thing, it was amazing and saddening at the same time. funny thing is you can't even tell it ever happened if you look at her fingers.

I did that to my cousin once, but his finger was crushed by the hinged side. Can anyone say "mechanical advantage"? 😱
