Hey everybody

I've just bought the SOLTEk SL-75KAV mb and a duron 650 MHz processor
and the first thing I did was of course giving it the whole works of
benchmarking. In SiSoft Sandra 2001 Standard I experienced something odd.
The memory benchmarks said 359 MB/S(ALU/RAM) and 390 MB/S(FPU/RAM). That's
less than a duron 600 MHz on a KT133 mb according to Sisoft and I have read
that this board kicks ass memeorywise.
My bios setting for the ram modules is CAS3(bad memory) and 133 MHz

Can anybody explain this to me?

BTW: My setup is
Soltek SL-75KAV (rev 5 bios)
650 MHz Duron
256 MB PC133 SD-RAM
..that should suffice

I just fiddled with the BIOS settings and set Bank Interleave to 4
My SiSOft Scores went from 360/390 to 413/507...

CAN anybody explain me in plain english what Bank Interleaving is, why it has such a big impact on the memory scores and if it safe to run at this setting??

I,d like to know myself. Your scores should have been higher than that. I set mine to 4 and the scores were 490/555, but it was'nt stable so I reset to bank interleave at 2 and cas at 2. Scores 454/502 which isn/t too bad. Best thing to do is get some top quality ram, PC 150 which will run cas 2. Then you should be able to use Red Storm overclocking and hit about 143 FSB, then you'd have some nice scores.

I think my scores are OK, cause I'm running Duron 650@650Mhz, only the ram at 133 MHz and that is at cas 3. How do you set the ram to normal, medium or turbo settings. I couldn't find it in the manual??
