Odd "grainy' noise coming from within my computer.

I don't know if the sound is anything to worry about, as it is a slight sound, but it's bugging me. The last problem I had on my computer was a blinking light (which actually turned out to be my power supply, because the fan inside died and I didn't notice) that I ended up having to spend nearly 100 bucks to fix, so I'd like to really know if there's a genuine problem here before I go and spend more money. It's just a small grainy sound, like that of an old hard drive loading. Is there a problem with my hard drive, or is it just something that came about because my computer is almost 4 years old?

Thanks.

Well, since I have a Mag Innovision flatscreen monitor with no visible audio jacks, I'm gonna have to say no.

Get an air-can and do some dust bunny patrols. Make sure you don't have any cables creeping near your fans. Grab an empty paper towel roll to use as a "stethescope" to see if you can localize the noise.
