Odd DVD burner problem

I have a BENQ 16x DVD Burner that previous to the past few days has worked wonderfully for me. Recently, however, when I try to burn a movie, the computer will freeze and halt at a certain point - it has ranged from 20% to 92%. I don't think it has been the media, because I have been able to burn data dvd's fine using the same spindle of discs. I'm using Nero 6, and DVD shrink. Once it has frozen, the light on the DVD burner drive stays a steady green (which it typically does when it has successfully burned something), but the progress bar in nero will have frozen. Once I try to eject the disc, the light starts blinking red, and then to get the bad disc out I am forced to restart the computer. If anybody has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
