Odd Crash messages with Unreal engine games ( R6:rs,Ut2003,Splintercell)

Ok so these 3 games are giving me problems.
in UT2003's case it crashes as soon as i try to play a single player game with this error

UT2003 Build UT2003_Build_[2003-04-07_17.42]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1203 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X (5303)

for Raven Shield and Splinter cell its usually a few maps in for a campaign or a certain level, and even some other maps
they crash out to desktop with errors all similar to this.
Im running an Athlon 1.2G TBird on an epox 8ktl3+ mobo, GF4 440mx 128mb 8x AGP card. 512mb SD ram with win XP DX9.0b and 53.X detonator drivers.

I dont know whats causing these crashes but it happens with these 3 games and its hella annoying, i've tried with CD installs and also patches, same gig..sometimes patches just make it happen it different spots.

any help or ideas please?

I also used to get that error when I had a Geforce2, so it stands to reason that the MX440 is no different. I fixed it by reverting to 12.xx drivers. Hope that helps.

Tried 41.09 and they were no luck, guess ill try the 12.xx ones thanks, i just hope drivers that old don't screw up any other games that are new =(
