Odd CPU temperatures?

I'm using a 2.4B (the ones with 133MHz FSB) overclocked to ~2.9GHz (160MHz FSB) with my vcore set at 1.6V (default is 1.5 I think), with an Asus P4S800 motherboard. Temperatures were measured with the latest version of Asus Probe.

A lot of people say they have like 40C idle and 45C load. I'm using a generic HSF so I'm thinking my temperatures should be the same. Also, would it be odd to have an 18C temperature increase from idle to load? When it's not overclocked, the temperatures don't change much from overclocking, but the range is still big (22C idle, 38C load).

It's normal, your heatsink can't easily purge all the heat that the CPU starts generating at full load, so you CPU temps will go up. The most you could do is get a new heatsink. I wouldn't sweat it as long as it's stable.

I don't not trust the temparature reading very much. The realtive difference, though, is more meaningful. 16c increase, I think, is not that bad.
