Odd colored cases...what do you do about drive colors?

I know that you can buy vinyl spray paint or whatever (the stuff for cars works well I heard) but aren't there drives that are already made to match odd-colored cases? The Shuttle SS51 looks tempting (as do other, larger silver cases) but where can I buy CD-RW/DVD drive and floppy drives that are silver or blue or whatever? I guess I could get that painting service from directron, but there has to be an easier way...

Thanks.

just use spray paint it only takes 15 minutes to too and about 24 hours to dry and its cheap. Cant go wrong there.

That's actually what I'm leaning towards. 🙂

That Antec (or antec clone) 1030B or whatever is nice. I saw it at Compusa and it looks great and I've heard a lot of good things about it.

if you have the old bay cover, you can do the infamous "stealth mod".

Or you could simply take a piece to a paint shop and ask if they can make a custom spray color. Sometimes that works, but it can be around 10 bucks a can. If it's aluminum, see if you can find a matching bezel on all of the mod sites out there. Last but not least, if you can do any of that, sometimes painting it a simple color like straight white, black, grey, or something simple looks just as good as having it be flush with the case.

Wow, that stealth mod is a great idea. Looks awesome too. 🙂

Yeah, it works out really nice. It takes a little adjustment to get the lego button to work right, but its a sweet deal once it does.

If I would want to spray paint my cd-rw and dvd-rom, in the case or out?

And do I need to tape the drawer or something, or just leave it in the case like it is and spray away?

Take the drives out and pop off the face plates. Then paint them.
