Odd aspect of moderator quotes w/ POLL

Mookow

Lifer
Why is it that the mods usually break their statements up into short lines? For example, in my retort thread, the moderator edited HC's post with
"He was getting a slam in over a
locked thread,good one too!"

Notice how after only ~30 characters the mod made a new line. This is not a unusual thing for mod edits, either. Is this due to any special reason, or just for style.

Before I have people telling me to take it to Forum Issues, this partly to get my question answered, and partly for the entertainment of listening to people's theorys on the subject.

EDIT feel free to suggest other choices for the poll

I've seen long lines from mods too. And it's not a quote until someone quotes it. Until then it's just a remark/edit from a mod.

Hey, its 5AM where I am... lets not get too picky on my word choice. Plus, I only said "usually", not "always"

Yeah, I'm working on that... got to get some data from a friend first

Stylistic choice based upon the psychology of separating those in authoritative positions from the rest of us; emphasizing the differences to make us tend to forget the fact that moderators happen to be normal people who likely post here under familiar names.

The lessons from Moonbeam are progressing nicely I see 😀

Would you want the mods to ramble on and on inside your post? I don't think the mods have the time to write a full essay as to why they ban or lock a post. 😛

As to why they break the lines, I think the mods have taste in making their posts looking good. 😛 😛

Moonbeam, schmoonbeam. The difference is that you can read what I have to say and parse it into something meaningful.

Quite "moonbeam-esque..."

You do have a point there.
